I'm New

Welcome

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Walla Walla!
We want to give you an idea of what makes our church the way it is and hopefully it can help you know what to expect if you choose to make fellowship here a part of your life.
Many Churches have developed a mission statement that helps them define themselves and give them clarity and direction as a group.  We consider ourselves to have one as well but have taken a slightly different approach to this idea.  We didn’t develop a mission statement on our own it or pick it out, we simply take Matthew 28:19 and the commission Jesus gave the Disciples and have adopted it to ourselves as a church. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…”

Calvary Chapel wants to reach out to the community around us and our hope is that we can introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them come to a place where they can put their faith in his work on the Cross for them, and begin a personal relationship with him.  This is our way of fulfilling his instructions to us to “Go and make disciples”

Calvary Chapel has a keen interest in sharing and studying the Bible. We believe very strongly that the Bible is one of the best ways for us to know God, how we can begin a relationship with him and how we are to live every part of life.
One of the things that immediately stands out to people who are a part of Calvary Chapel is the emphasis we put on the teaching understanding, and simple application of the scriptures to our lives. This is reflected in how we prioritize our ministry, it shows in the way we spend our time during services, and it hopefully has an effect on how we live during the week as well.
The second instruction in Jesus’ commission for the church was to “teach them to observe all the things that I have commanded you” So we engage in learning and teaching the word of God with enthusiasm.  We believe that we should be lifelong learners of the Bible and that believers new and old should always be engaged in learning the word, and finding fresh ways to apply it to their life.

We Love church fellowship and community and serving each other and reaching out with love to the city of Walla Walla. We hope that those who are a part of our church can develop personal friendships with one another, and be able to love and support each other through life as it plays out. We hope that we be can be known as disciples of Jesus by our love for one another. We spend quite a bit of time together over meals and in each others homes we have bible studies that meet throughout the week, and would love to see you, and many from Walla Walla and the whole valley join us and our fellowship.
