I believe Help my unbelief. I think the guy came to a point where he’s not trying to negotiate or somehow manipulate Jesus and he finally just cries out because somewhere down there under all the bluster was a desperate father. Jesus didn’t respond to the manipulation but he DID respond to a simple cry for help. Jesus is compassionate. Be fair and give him that benefit of the doubt.

Pwned He got a new name,”governed by God” and he got a limp. He was weak, God was strong. What he was promised he thought he had to strive to receive. He learned to trust in the generosity of God the hard way.

Here this Father comes just close to missing out, until the desperation causes him to finally fall on the mercy of God, Believing in GODS CHARACTER.
